The Windfall Project is located in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, in Urban Township, in the James Bay territory of Eeyou Istchee, Québec.

The project is located 700 kilometers northwest of Montreal, 200 kilometers northeast of Val-d’Or and 115 kilometers east of Lebel-sur-Quévillon.

The Windfall Project is located within the traditional territories of the Waswanipi Cree First Nation.
